Valerie Lucas
Valerie was introduced to yoga as a college athlete back in 2000. After graduating, she continued on and off for about 10 years before it finally clicked that there is so much more to it than the physical practice. Leaving a career in medical research, she decided to make the switch and began teaching full-time in 2014. Her teaching style is very intuitive, empowering, and inquiry-based, and she will encourage you to identify patterns in your practice and how they are showing up off of your mat. After surviving breast cancer in 2021, Valerie shows up each day with a full heart of gratitude and a passion to share the tools of this practice with others.
A true foodie, when not in the studio, you can catch Valerie in the kitchen baking biscuits with her 6 year-old son or taking road trips with her family to find the best pizza.
