Susan Kniseley-Foy
Susan Kniseley-Foy’s yoga practice began in Jacksonville Beach and became a touchstone through later moves to Taiwan, South Korea and Qatar. She is amazed by yoga’s power to calm the mind and strengthen the spirit, and for someone whose mind is always on the go, that connection to the inner self is a key draw. Susan took her first teaching steps in 2010 in Qatar, with clients ranging from Saudi teenagers to German architects to American filmmakers.
Now back in the US with her husband and travel partner in crime, Ron, Susan is happy to have returned to Jacksonville Beach, where she teaches in a community that has grown stronger and more vibrant through the years. An E-RYT 200 and RYT 500 in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow, she brings lessons from different lineages: thoughtful assists from Ashtanga, alignment awareness from Anusara and breath-connected flow from Vinyasa. Her teaching style is a mix of energy, encouragement, lightheartedness and creativity.
Susan strives to engage and empower her students and to help them find illumination in their practice in whatever way rings true for them. She considers yoga a constant lesson in how to… everything, and finds it an essential pleasure and honor to keep on learning.
